Hordes Minions Gatorman Warlock Maelok…

Oh Maelok the Dreadbound. I really really like him. He’s tricky with the vectors he can create reviving dead Gatormen Posse models. It can be very effective during his FEAT turn as well since it will almost always insure some model(s) can make it to their caster if your positioning is right. Get creative with SPINY GROWTH and you can have certain Undead Posse Members at ARM22 during the FEAT round thanks to ZOMBIFY from the Witch Doctor which is dead sexy. Running a Witch Doctor or two is a must when using this undead warlock and his Tier list is actually pretty decent compared to what I’m used to in Khador. Some choose to break it in order to run Swamp Gobbers Bellows Crew to protect him from long range attacks. I usually just have him close to a Ironback Spitter to be GIRDED and act as a TRANSFER beast just in case. I’m really interested in seeing how he might synergize with the upcoming Bog Trog Shamblers unit.

For any Gator players out there, I highly recommend giving him a try! I posted lists below.

Minions Wrong Eye & Snapjaw…

Both these models have a lot of character. I know a lot of people who got into the game just because of these models. From my own game experiences using them I am still on the fence about them. Sure they are pretty awesome but at the same time I could also run yet another full Gatormen Posse for the same points. Running 3 full posses at 50pts is just so damn SEXY. Only more game time will help me decide the call on them for me. Regardless they were very enjoyable to paint!

Mercenaries Sylys Wyshnalyrr…

Another Mercenaries model down! This useful Warcaster attachment works lovely with those with a lower Focus. You could also use him to buff the crap out of a high Focus caster as well if your feeling saucy. A free upkeep, Arcane Secrets, and a extended Spell range….count me in!

Minions Gatorman Witch Doctor…

I got a pair of these power solos who are a must have for Maelok’s Tier list. He’s also a pretty awesome solo all around for those factions that don’t have access to Tough with the bonus of being Undead (No Souls for you!). He actually took awhile to paint since he has rope going everywhere with bones intertwined. This is why I don’t play Circle, Skorne, or Menoth….all that damn trimming and filagree!

Mercenaries Lady Aiyana & Master Holt…

Everyone knows them. Chances are if you played in tournaments, you either used them or saw them sitting across from you on the table. The utility options they give are priceless against certain foes. The ability to increase the damage output of your whole force onto a  single enemy model or temporarily grant magic weapons can mean the difference between a loss or a win in critical situations. They are a essential toolbox to some factions even more so with the Specialist rules for Steamroller 2013. I think Hordes desperately needs some similar Minions but only time will tell if this will be happen for them. I’ve been using them on and off for a bit and decided it was about time I finally painted them up. Painted models play better right?!

Minions Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew…

This little pair has been sitting around for awhile half painted. I finally finished them up in anticipation of our new warlock Rask. This unit is able to provide some nice smoke screens to help protect those warlocks with low defense which Blindwater is full of. Puff, puff…smoke screen BRAH!
