Khador Koldun Lord…

I was building my Beast-09 and had some left over epoxy so I decided to throw this guy together real quick since it doesn’t hurt to have a solo who can ‘Jack Marshall for those shooty Khador Warjacks. One problem this miniature had was that his cape is the same level if not a little below his feet. He wouldn’t fit on the base without having to bend him forward which would have looked bad to me. So I had to make a mound of epoxy to make him stand correctly on the base. My dirty wash technique also becomes a lot more evident on his cape. He’s been roughing it in the woods for awhile so it’s not going to be crisp and clean since he doubles it as his sleeping blanket on the ground. True story!

Here’s what he looked like before the black wash…

And after using Citadel Badab Black Wash & some basic highlighting…

  1. White P3 Primer
  2. Base coat colors using Vallejo Game Colors
  3. Used Citadel Badab Black wash all over the miniature
  4. Minimal highlights (studs, rivets, , runes, gems, flesh, etc.)
  5. Bases are comprised of Woodland Scenics grass flock. I also use Skullcrafts Autumn Mix Leaf Scatter
  6. Finally I use Army Painter Anti-Shine Matte Varnish & Vallejo Gloss Varnish only on specific areas (runes & gemstones)
