SUPPLIES & TOOLS NEEDED

  • EK Tools 1″ Circle Punch or 1″ Square Punch (These can also be found at most Michael’s stores for under $10). You can also choose to get other sizes like the 0.75″ or 0.50″ for smaller tokens. Just be to get the correct size epoxy stickers and print at the proper scale! (100%=1″, 75%=0.75″, 50%=0.50″)
  • 63 or more 1″ clear circle or square Epoxy Stickers (Ebay has the best deals usually)
  • A print out of either the CIRCLE or SQUARE Company of Iron PDF tokens (I also prefer to print on glossy photo paper for the most vibrant colors)
  • Scissors, Hobby Knife, Xacto Knife, or any kind of paper cutting tool

DIRECTIONS

coi_tokens05

STEP 1 – After you print out the tokens, cut them into rows of two so it’s easier to punch them out

coi_tokens06

STEP 2 – Center the token in the puncher and punch away! I created a large border so you don’t have to be perfect

coi_tokens07

STEP 3 – I then use my fingers to guide the token onto the epoxy sticker with my other hand

coi_tokens08

STEP 4 – Lay the token on a flat surface and rub it all over to eliminate any air pockets

STEP 5 – For the Objective tokens simply write on the backside

…AND YOU’RE DONE!

Now you know how to create your own custom tokens for just about anything if you’re savvy in any graphic design program (or have a friend that is).

Steamroller in February…

I started to run a monthly Steamroller Tournament that requires being fully painted and based. It’s been great putting some fire under people’s asses to finally paint up their models. It also helps create a mental deadline for themselves to finish painting their lists they want to play. Enjoy the pics!

Live vicariously once again through pics! Another one in the books.

HORDES Minions Alten Ashley…

Alten Ashley is a fun little solo I usually run with my chosen anti-Hordes list at the time. I really like the model as it has a lot of character with the slow advancing while smoking a fat cigar pose. He was a pleasure to paint and the hodge podge of shoulder pads and studs somehow reminded me of someone who could totally be a character in the Mad Max world.

WARMACHINE & HORDES Free Rules & Massive Errata…

It was bound to happen and it finally did. That’s right boys and girls, they finally released the core rulebooks for the awesome price of FREE99!

They have also just released a massive errata that changes many things for the overall health of the game. They re-balanced some models and got rid of some bad play experience abilities.

Here’s some key changes…

  • You can SHAKE off BLIND (Gorman Di Sadwulfe)
  • Haley2’s FEAT no longer lets her choose order of activation (Better game experience now)
  • Pistol Wraith’s DEATHCHILL only causes STATIONARY now (So Huge bases are now immune)
  • Siege Animantarax gains up to 3 Rage tokens in which it can boost things now
  • Archangel Draconic Aura causes models within 2″ to suffer the Fire Continuous Effect
  • Grotesque Raiders are now “Legion Blighted Nyss Unit” sub-type

Hordes Minions Gatormen Jaga-Jaga Warlock…

Hello all! It’s been some time since I’ve done any work on my Gatormen, but alas I was fully painted with no new models I wanted until I saw Jaga-Jaga. She is definitely one of my favorite models from the Gatormen side of Minions. Unfortunately since we also got the amazing Sacral Vault Battle Engine she isn’t needed as much anymore. Regardless she was a pleasure to paint and I might even go back and use my recently bough UHU glue to do some blood strands from the undead snakes open wounds. Fun fact, I was looking for cool snake patterns and the striped one on her chest is actually not poisonous at all and is based off a Scarlet King snake. The other snakes are based off of Florida swamp snake. Next up on menu for my Gatormen are the new plastic posses and Sacral Vault!

minions_jaga_jagaI think she likes snakes. Maybe.

NEWS – New Hordes Gargantuans…

As expected by most, Hordes got their second wave of Gargantuans just like Warmachine had their second wave of Colossals. All of the new sculpts/sketches look amazing. I personally think it’s really cool that they are mostly all new model types with the Glacier King being closest to it’s older original brother. Also take note of the 10 year anniversary of Hordes teasers at the end. Check out the video below!
